Sports Magazine – Advertising Sales

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to work with a well-established sports publication. Due to recent growth, they are strengthening their UK sales team and are looking for people with a proven track record and a hunger for success.


The Role

Working along side a Business Development Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking Business Development Executive. The company produce a print and online sports, health and fitness magazine, which is well established within a competitive market. The magazine covers topics across a broad range of different sports, training disciplines and nutrition protocols.

The Candidate

The ideal Business Development Executive must have an excellent track record of sales with experience in either B2B or B2C sales. They will possess a hunter mentality, with a drive to generate new business. They will be accustomed to a high level of outbound efforts and will have experience in lead generation, appointment setting.

The Role

In this position, you will generate your own leads through Linkedin and online searches, as well as take advantage of inbound, enquiries and calls. You will qualify these leads and look to book face to face appointments for a BDM attend. Ongoing training will be provided to help ensure your success and help you progress from a Business Development position to a Business Development Manager.

The Package

Although the salary package will be negotiable depending on previous experience, the successful Business Development Manager will receive an initial base salary of up to £30,000 with uncapped £50,000 OTE, plus benefits.
